Use of Gibberellic Acid Treatments to Improve Health and Yield of HLB Diseased Trees
Recent research findings from UF/IFAS have shown that many of the HLB symptoms on diseased trees are the result of oxidative stress caused by the HLB bacterium. Our latest findings show that these stresses can be greatly reduced and yields increased by applying products that reduce oxidative stress. One product shown to be effective that growers can use now is gibberellic acid. In this meeting, information will be provided on how gibberellic acid improves tree health, the economic benefit of GA sprays, and how growers can begin to use GA now in their groves and what should be avoided.
