Can you discuss the effects of the 7.2 Million gallon Sewer Spill in Titusville by the Max Brewer Bridge? It started before August 2020 and was not stopped until December 24, 2020. I believe that this was the cause of an 8 month algae bloom that reduced Seechi visibility to less than 0.5 m. This could have eliminated the sea grasses in Titusville.

34:47
Are there any oyster or clam projects being done in the North IRL in Titusville that you can use volunteers to help with?

37:59
Morgan: The Cape Canaveral benthic community assessments did not have oysters present over your temporal sampling. What do you think is going on?

41:13
Do you think that the pollution in the North part of the North IRL such as Cape Canaveral and Titusville is preventing the oysters from growing? It is strange that oysters do not seem to grow there anymore. They used to grow in great numbers before 2000/

Thank you. Is there a specific oyster species that you are targeting?

55:51
Sarah: During the 9 month study period will the oyster spat in the cages reach sexual maturity and spawn?

56:05
Great project Morgan and Sarah! So happy to hear this work is active in the IRL!!

56:13
Would this program be applicable down south in Broward and Miami Dade counties?

58:27
What is the timeframe between taking spat from the PVC T's to placing them in the gardened oyster reefs for dock deployment? If the time is significant, how are you keeping them alive until that process takes place?

58:38
Brevard zoo does take volunteers for clam monitoring, e-mail restore our shores

58:42
Important and exciting work. Great job!

59:48
any activities going on in Volusia for us to possibly volunteer?

01:01:26
Thank you for sharing your work and I look forward to volunteering! Two questions: 1) Will docks at county parks (such as Peck Lake Park) be utilized in the living docks project if there are volunteers willing to check those sites? 2) Do you have specific messaging to boaters to promote living docks? Many that I have talked to loathe oysters because they pose a risk to their boats while docking (scratching gelcoat, etc.). 😒
