Have any entities actually been successful in reducing discharges to impaired waterways to remove them from the impaired list?

53:55
Would a 60,000 + square foot entity that will be built on land that was once agriculturally zoned but is now zoned CG, how can this building be required to have green parking lots and not impact Martin County storm water runoff?

56:59
Hi Diane, I am an Environmental Specialist for Martin County. A building of that size would have to go through a development review process to be issued a permit and that would involve several County departments and an extensive review to make sure it complies with the County's Stormwater Standards that are outlined in our Comp plan. I'd be happy to send you the links to those documents should you have any questions. My email is kbowes@martin.fl.us. Thanks for the interest!

Are drainage canals or ditches considered point sources when entering a navigable waterway?

01:19:36
Thank you for opening our eyes about the new and old programs-FABULOUS

We can reduce NP runoff from housing developments by eliminating grass lawns and fertilizers and instead planting native Florida plants that don't need watering, mowing, weeding, and fertilizing. Overcoming the northern lawn mentality takes work but regulation would prevent grass/clippings. What chance is there for statewide regulations to eliminate grass lawns?

THANK YOU Eban!
