From the Alma Implementation Project Leads: On Wednesday, July 1, Elijah Scott sent out an email stating that FALSC is currently functioning under normal operations. This includes support for Aleph, Mango, Islandora, OpenAthens, EZProxy, eResource licensing, and all other ancillary services. Also included is our work on the ILS implementation as well. Until we are told otherwise, it is our intention to continue all activities related to this project including all meetings for the working groups, ILS Coordinators, and the Implementation Team, as well as ongoing work with Ex Libris. We feel that this work is imperative to the success of this project, and any delay may jeopardize our goal of bringing up a new system in July 2021.

Masks are mandatory at FSU and in our county. FSU has on-site testing for faculty and staff.

We will be having some music instruction on-campus (private lessons and ensembles). We figure the building will be full of kids practicing all day.

What happens if they have different check-out periods? Or one copy is a library copy and one is a faculty copy?
Annie Glerum
54:49
How are you handling the 852 $t subfield?
Allison Howard (USF Health)
55:28
We don't use 852 $t
Liza Campbell (UWF)
56:01
I think the only time we have multiple holdings records is if it's being kept at a branch or other location
Liza Campbell (UWF)
56:33
But we don't use 852 $t (to my knowledge - it might have been an old practice that was before my time)
Allison Howard (USF Health)

Does merging holding records change any of the year-end counts for SACS, IPEDS, ARCL?
Allison Howard (USF Health)
01:00:12
What will happen to notes in the holdings records?
Sarah Cohen
01:00:35
IF we all have to consolidate our holdings, that's going to be a big ol' mess.
Annie Glerum
01:00:37
In an Ex Libris document: “Consolidate multiple holding records for identical item copies for the same location/call number.”

In the previous library I worked in, using Voyager, we had one holdings per copy.
Annie Glerum

For the notes, we’ll have to preface them with “Copy 1:”

We have to come up with an automated process for this. With FALSC’s help (or whatever the organization is will be called)

FSU is doing a huge withdraw of print gov docs, mostly serials. I will ask if the main person handling these withdraws is searching for the ER version.
Annie Glerum
01:18:18
If you see an FSU ER holding on a print bib, we are working on cleaning those up!

Back to duplicate holdings - what about one holding that's a DVD and the other is a guide? Do they need to be merged?

I think so
