My students wanted a canvas reminder that their reading was due before class. I added "0"point assignments due the day before class to remind them. Every semester I tell my students why I added that and how to use it.

Formal training not required for use (unless researching). But is very useful!It involves coding three videos and checking your scores against a set of master codes to help range yourself in and get a good grip on the tool.

At NCSU we now have a FARPET Club of faculty and technicians doing monthly peer reviews in a safe, no risk environment.

I don't think i've seen an instrument like this before at all, and indeed it is accessible to someone without a background in teaching methods or research, so i plan to keep it on hand for future observings. (Though at present i don't do much.)
