In Putnam County (30 m East of Gainesville), I have/had several dead/dying dogwood trees when the property was purchased. I was told by a landscaping guy that he'd seen problems with dogwood throughout the area, and he recommended against planting more dogwoods. What can you tell me about this situation? Was landscaper's assessment accurate. Property is 5 wooded acres, not lakefront. Trees look partially dead, with many bare limbs.

Stinging fruit fly, or could be horse fly. Got stung too, put raw onion on bite immediately for ten minutes. If skin gets real red and starts to get hard and redness starts to spread. Get antibiotics from doctor.
