Hello, Dr. Gomez. Thank you so much for your presentation. You mentioned switching to anesthesiology after 2 years of residency in general surgery. What should we do in medical school to know how to chose the right residency for us?

Hi Dr. Gomez, appreciate your talk and involvement! In Jacksonville we are preparing to become a regional med campus and as a fundraiser here for UF, we want to build an environment where students can succeed. What, besides scholarship support, would have made your experience easier/smoother/better that philanthropy could impact or create?
Agnieszka Niedbalska

Dr. Gomez, what ways did the MBA impact your professional career?
Kimberly Jones

That is very helpful - engagement, tech, mentoring, facilities upgrades. Got it!

Thanks for spending your time with us today, Dr. Gomez! Did you have a mentor that was particularly helpful (whether they helped you in choosing a specialty or just getting through clerkships, etc.) during your medical school years - if so, what is your advice on finding good mentors?

Dr. Gomez, do you have any tips for building a better filter for emotional intelligence? I know that when I am stressed, I can sometimes get sassy (but not in a good way). I just finished a preceptorship where I saw a physician with the most incredible patience and grace with a difficult patient. How can you foster this emotional intelligence both in practice and in your personal life?
