This webinar will summarize the findings from a recently accomplished STRIDE project on the use of simulation models to assess the impacts of connected and automated vehicles (CAV) to support transportation agency's decisions. The project conducted an assessment of the existing research, developments, models, and methods that enable the simulation of CAV and documented the state agency needs regarding planning and operations of highways with CAV presence. Then, the project developed a modeling framework(s) and guidance for use in simulating CAV. Finally, the project demonstrated the use of simulation to use cases that require assessing the highway operations with CAV presence.
